Join us from 11 May to 15 May 2025 for a visit to Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories. The trip will allow participants to hear from experts on a wide variety of issues, from Israeli politics, to the occupation and displacement of Palestinians, the war and humanitarian crisis in Gaza, the fight to free the hostages, and much more relating to Israeli and Palestinian society. This is a chance to learn, see things first hand, discuss and ask questions by speaking with the people who know the region best. The purpose of our trips to is give participants an opportunity to meet with key Yachad partners working in the region and explore options for how we move forward from the current situation to one that is solutions-focussed. Our trips provide participants with a unique chance to learn about the conflict in-depth, and to visit locations and meet individuals you would not normally be able to access.

The final itinerary will be confirmed closer to the time, and may change to reflect the current situation. Content is likely to include

- A visit to a kibbutz near the Gaza border to hear from survivors of 7 October

- A tour of East Jerusalem and various locations in the West Bank including the Hebron area

- A visit to an IDF Military Court

- Meetings with Israeli and Palestinian official spokespeople as well as peace and human rights activists

We will confirm costs in the new year which will include all ground transportation in Israel and the OPT from the start of the trip in Jerusalem, all meals and accommodation. It does not include flights, transport to and from the airport in the UK or the cost of travel insurance.

The FCDO has recently updated its travel guidelines to the region and has now deemed most of Israel and parts of the West Bank safe to travel to. There are small areas of the West Bank where we may travel where the current advice is to avoid all but essential travel. These are areas we visit regularly and have done so since the start of the war including with MP delegations. The Israeli guides that take us travel to these locations on a daily basis, to visit Palestinian communities known to them and to Yachad and we are confident it is safe to visit these areas under these conditions.
