Yachad Annual Fundraiser
Voices from Israel-Palestine, Shaping the Moment Ahead
Tuesday 19th May, 6.30pm, London
Join us for Yachad’s Annual Fundraiser.
At a time when war continues to devastate lives across not just Israel and Palestine, but the entire Middle East, it can feel difficult to see glimmers of hope. This year’s fundraiser will be an opportunity to hear directly from courageous Israelis and Palestinians working together in the face of immense challenges — confronting the daily realities of settler violence and standing up for dignity, freedom, security and a more peaceful future.
Their stories remind us that even in the darkest moments, there are people on the ground refusing to give up on the possibility of a better reality. Through their work, and through Yachad’s continued efforts, we can help ensure that these voices are heard and supported.
Our Speakers:
Hamish Falconer is the UK Minister for the Middle East, North Africa, Afghanistan and Pakistan, and MP for Lincoln. He previously worked as a diplomat. He will offer reflections on the political choices facing the region, and the role Britain can play.
A panel discussion will follow, featuring:
Avner Gvaryahu is an Israeli public figure working to confront the realities of the occupation within Israeli society and the international community.
Eid Hathaleen is a Palestinian community organiser from Umm al-Khair in the South Hebron Hills, who lives under the daily threat of settler violence and works tirelessly to document and communicate the experiences of Palestinian residents.
Alona Ferber is senior editor at Prospect. Her thoughtful journalism on Israel-Palestine and wider politics will help make this a particularly strong discussion, which she will host.
