Israel is heading to the polls in one of its most anticipated and consequential elections in the country’s history.
Join Yachad, NIF UK and We Democracy for a special election night event. We’ll live-screen exit polls as they come in and hear from Alona Ferber and Zizette Darkazally, who will join us in person to unpack the results and explore what they could mean for Israel’s political future. We’ll also connect live with voices in Israel for on-the-ground reporting and reactions as the results unfold.
Alona Ferber is the senior editor at Prospect Magazine, a monthly current affairs magazine edited by Alan Rusbridger. She writes on politics and policy, specialising in coverage of Israel and Palestine. During her career, she has interviewed major public figures such as Tony Blair and Sheryl Sandberg. She also has a newsletter, The Backlash, where she writes weekly on the struggle for gender equality.
Zizette Darkazally is an associate fellow with Chatham House MENA Programme. She has previously worked for the United Nations and other international organizations covering political, electoral, legal, communications and humanitarian portfolios in the occupied Palestinian territory, Egypt, Lebanon, Tunisia and Libya. Her work included supporting national authorities to implement transparent elections and facilitation of national political dialogue processes. She is a Palestinian citizen of Israel, a lawyer by background and has served as a legal adviser to the PLO’s negotiations support unit.
Your details will be shared with our partners, the New Israel Fund UK and We Democracy.
